I’m Kasey Corbit, the founder of, principal attorney, and Certified Fraud Examiner at Seren Legal.
I’ve been practicing for nearly 20 years, having graduated from the University of California Hastings College of the Law in 2004. Nine of those years were spent working for and advising federal judges, a time period during which I was able to gain expertise across a breadth of litigation areas. This experience also provided me with a unique access to how judges think, what they want, and how they rule.
Seren Legal’s multidisciplinary foundation allows our team to see fresh angles of law that others who have been overspecialized cannot see. This ability to see the interconnectedness between cases is just one of many items that inform our holistic approach to the litigation process.
Today I live and work in the beautiful town of Muir Beach, California, handling legal matters throughout the Bay Area and other California counties.
When I am not hard at work on your case, you can find me in West Marin enjoying my time on the trails, in the water and with my family, chickens, ducks, and dog. I also volunteer a significant amount of time in the community, most recently as the disaster coordinator for Muir Beach.

Abbey Wilkins

Abbey Wilkins is an Associate Attorney at Seren Legal.
While a recent law school graduate, Abbey has spent a significant amount of the past decade gaining exposure to environmental, family, corporate, real property, and intellectual property law working as a paralegal and legal intern. This diversity of experience has equipped her with a multifaceted understanding of legal issues, making her a valuable addition to our team.
Prior to joining Seren, Abbey served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable J.P. Howard III of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, where she honed her analytical skills and gained valuable insight into appellate procedures, showcasing her unique ability to navigate complex legal landscapes and provide strategic counsel.
Abbey received her Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law. While in law school, she earned the CALI Excellence of Future awards in Constitutional Law, Family Law, and Legal Research & Writing, a testament to her exemplary performance and having earned the highest grade in each subject matter. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Arts in Communications from the University of Southern California.
A Bay Area native, Abbey is coffee curious and a Pivot Podcast afficionado. When she isn’t performing on QWERTY or buried between book covers, you’ll find Abbey doting on her cat, clipped into a sidebar bike at SoulCycle, or dabbling on a blank canvas.
Kevin Corbit
Kevin is conspicuously the spouse of the Seren Legal founder.
Following his doctoral work at the Pritzker School of Medicine, University of Chicago, Kevin completed fellowships in Human Genetics at Stanford University and the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He then spent nine years as a Specialist at UCSF, and subsequently turned to the biotech and venture capital sectors for another seven years. His passion and career centered on finding the genetic bases of human health and disease.
While contemplating a relatively non-destructive mid-life crisis, Kevin noticed his wife was buried in huge amounts of legal data that were more confounding than useful – exactly where human genetics was twenty years ago. After some tinkering, he convinced Kasey to let him try to use large language models and artificial intelligence to help make sense of and solve complex legal issues. Things went at least well enough that Kasey agreed to tolerate this behavior on a more permanent basis. Kevin eagerly joined Seren Legal and helps out in any way he can, from day-to-day office operations and making lunch to completing large financial audits in business fraud cases and leveraging Anthropic and Hive platforms to craft bespoke legal strategies for clients.
When not smothering their two children and elderly Golden Retriever, Kevin spends as much time in the ocean as he can, pursuing his other dream of starting a professional senior surfing league that will never, ever include a wave pool.
